The sentence, “The beef production forecast is lowered as higher dressed weights more than offset reduced steer and heifer slaughter due to the suspension of cattle imports from Mexico,” was revised to read, “The beef production forecast is lowered as higher dressed weights are more than offset by reduced steer and heifer slaughter due to the suspension of cattle imports from Mexico.” The error was limited to the text section of the report; all numbers in the livestock tables were correct.</p>Release datetime: May 12, 2025
